About Kayla Heuer

From a young age, I knew I wanted to help people—I just wasn’t sure what that would look like. I’ve always found deep meaning in comforting others through hard times and in trying to understand what it means to be human. My years in customer service showed me how small moments of genuine connection can bring a sense of stability and care—how simply being seen can make a difference. As a barista, I cherished the moments of connection that came with serving coffee—hearing snippets of people’s stories and witnessing their routines unfold in just a few minutes each day. Those brief but meaningful interactions sparked my desire to connect more deeply and support others in a deeper, more lasting way. These experiences eventually guided me toward earning my undergraduate degree in Healthy Lifestyle Coaching from Arizona State University, where I became fascinated by the many layers that shape our overall wellbeing—physical, emotional, relational, spiritual and environmental.

My path to becoming a therapist has also been shaped by my own life journey. I understand what it’s like to struggle with your mental and physical health and the exhaustion that comes from searching for answers. Having experienced the healing power of therapy myself, I’ve seen how transformative it can be—and it’s what inspires me to offer that same supportive, grounding space for others.

As a therapist, I blend all that I’ve learned through my own experiences—personally and professionally—to support clients as they navigate life’s transitions, rebuild their relationship with themselves and their bodies, and create meaningful, lasting change from the inside out.
